Good afternoon Good.Film team,
I’m reaching out today to express my keen interest in the Film Ambassador role advertised on LinkedIn. I recently graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor in Business Management and Communications with a dual major in Marketing and Public Relations and I’m eager to start my career in the field I’m most passionate about: film. I recently finished an internship with Universal Pictures, here in Brisbane and would love to continue using my skills to bring important films to audiences. Below, I’ve explained what makes me an ideal candidate in terms of the listed criteria for this position.
Strategic & meticulous: At NBC Universal, I managed multiple film campaigns simultaneously, coordinating RSVPs, tracking deliverables, and ensuring nothing fell by the wayside during high-pressure periods. I'm comfortable juggling competing deadlines while maintaining a detailed oriented approach to each project.
A doer: I coordinated screenings, managed databases, supported promotional events, and worked across publicity, marketing, and operations teams. I’m comfortable both following direction but also taking initiative when I recognise something needs doing/fixing.
A builder & communicator: At 4CC Radio, I created content for on-air and social media, worked with promotional partners, and helped organise broadcast events. I’m comfortable pitching ideas, collaborating on content, and I’m able to adapt when things don't go to plan. I'm comfortable both in and behind the scenes, having appeared on air for 4CC and in my promotional short videos (please see my portfolio linked above).
A librarian & rock: I maintained media databases at NBC Universal, managed sensitive premiere information, and coordinated across multiple stakeholders while keeping track of each task’s status and reporting to my supervisor. I like to approach tasks and problems systematically and use my professionalism and organisation skills to do so.
In my time at university and throughout all my internships, I have demonstrated my exceptional writing skills and ability to see themes and patterns that go past the surface value. I enjoy analysing what makes films resonate and the cultural discussion and change they can inspire.
I'm comfortable at events like premieres, Q&As, and red carpets, and I know how to represent a brand professionally while maintaining authenticity. I have experience with photography and video editing and I’m comfortable producing social media content for a variety of platforms and purposes.
I want to work with ambitious films that deserve attention and bring meaningful films to audiences in a way that makes an impact. I’m passionate about helping people connect with stories, and I want to learn from a team that's as eager to building something in Australian film culture as I am. I'm based in Brisbane; I have full Australian working rights and am available right away.
Thank you again for considering my application, I look forward to hearing from you.
